Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (the “Terms”) govern access to and use of DIY Retro Headphones (the “Site”, at https://retroheadphone.com).

By accessing or using the Site, you agree to these Terms and to the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Site.

1. The Site

The Site provides:

• publicly readable repair guides and headphone vault pages;
• user accounts, including sign-in, downloads, uploads, and forum participation;
• one-time purchases of certain 3D model files.

The Site is not sold as a monthly software-as-a-service subscription. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Site. Where reasonably practicable, we will provide notice of material changes.

2. Eligibility and accounts

You must be able to form a binding contract under applicable law. You are responsible for the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity under your account. Notify us promptly at hello@retroheadphone.com if you believe your account has been used without authorization.

3. Acceptable use

You agree that you will not:

• violate applicable law;
• upload, post, or transmit content you do not have the right to use;
• attempt to access another user’s files, administrative functions, or non-public systems;
• interfere with the Site or other users;
• scrape, bulk-download, or otherwise extract vault data or model files in a manner that circumvents authentication, payment, or technical limits;
• use the Site to distribute spam, malware, or unsolicited commercial messages.

4. Content

Editorial guides published by the Site are the Site’s content unless a page states otherwise. Models, photographs, forum posts, and other materials you submit are subject to the Creator Upload Terms and our moderation practices.

We may hide, remove, or refuse content that appears to infringe rights, violate these Terms, or pose a safety or operational risk. Reporting is described in Copyright and Report.

5. Purchases and Download Credit

Paid models are sold as one-time digital orders at the prices displayed on the Site. Download Credit is a site-issued download entitlement. It is not cash, not a bank account, and not transferable except as the Site expressly allows.

Refunds are governed by the Refund Policy.

6. Intellectual property

The Site’s design, original text, and original photographs are owned by the operator of the Site unless otherwise marked. Third-party names of headphone models and manufacturers are used for identification only and remain the property of their respective owners.

Creators retain copyright in models they upload, as set out in the Creator Upload Terms.

7. Disclaimers

Guides, vault notes, and forum discussions are provided for informational purposes. Repairing or modifying headphones may damage equipment or cause injury. You use the information and files on the Site at your own risk.

Model files are offered for printing or repair. We do not warrant that a part will fit every unit, revision, or aftermarket configuration.

The Site is provided “as is” and “as available”, to the maximum extent permitted by law, without warranties of uninterrupted availability, error-free operation, or fitness for a particular purpose.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the operator of the Site is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from use of or inability to use the Site, including failed prints, damaged headphones, lost data, or lost profits.

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

9. Termination

We may suspend or terminate access if you materially breach these Terms or if we are required to do so by law. You may stop using the Site at any time and may close an account through available account settings or by contacting us.

Provisions that by their nature should survive (including intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and indemnities implied by your user content) remain in effect after termination.

10. Changes

We may revise these Terms. The “Last updated” date will change when we do. Except where law requires additional notice, continued use after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
