Creator Upload Terms
Last updated: 18 September 2026
These Creator Upload Terms (the “Upload Terms”) apply when you submit 3D models, photographs, or related materials to DIY Retro Headphones (the “Site”). They supplement the Terms of Service. If there is a conflict about uploads, these Upload Terms control.
1. Eligibility
You may upload only content that you created, that you own, or that you are authorised to submit. You must not upload another person’s model, a file obtained without permission, or copyrighted CAD or artwork you do not control.
2. Licence to the Site
You retain copyright in the models and photographs you upload.
You grant the operator of the Site a worldwide, non-exclusive licence to host, store, display, reproduce, and communicate the listing (including cover images and descriptions) in connection with operating the Site, and, for paid listings, to sell downloads to buyers on the terms of the buyer licence below.
This licence continues for as long as the listing is hosted and as needed to fulfil existing buyer entitlements, complete accounting, and handle disputes.
3. Review
Each submission is pending until an administrator approves it. Unapproved files are not listed in the public catalogue. The Site may reject or later remove a listing that is unsafe, off-topic, inaccurate, infringing, or otherwise in breach of the Terms of Service or these Upload Terms.
4. Paid listings and revenue share
When a paid model is sold for money:
- the buyer pays through the Site’s payment provider as a one-time order;
- net proceeds (after payment-provider fees and any refunds) are shared 50% to you and 50% to the Site, as recorded on the earnings ledger;
- payouts are processed manually. There is no self-serve withdrawal. An administrator records payment after settlement for the relevant period.
5. Download Credit
If a buyer redeems Download Credit instead of paying money, that redemption does not create a cash share. Download Credit is a Site entitlement, not a cash wallet.
6. Buyer licence (paid models)
Unless a listing states otherwise, a paid download grants the buyer a personal, non-transferable licence to print and use the files for the buyer’s own headphones. It does not include the right to resell, sublicense, republish, or re-upload the original files, or to list the same files on another store.
7. Free models
Free models still require an account to download. Copyright, licence, and takedown rules in these Upload Terms still apply. Free listings should name a licence (for example a Creative Commons licence) where you intend one to apply.
8. First approved upload
After your first model is approved, the Site grants one Download Credit and a creator role, in accordance with the live product rules.
9. Your warranties
You represent that your submissions do not infringe third-party rights, do not contain malware, and comply with these Upload Terms. You are responsible for the accuracy of titles, descriptions, and compatibility claims.
10. Removal
You may request removal of a listing by contacting us. Removal does not cancel licences already granted to buyers, or records required for accounting or law.
